A .54 Model 1842 Percussion Navy Pistol. With .54 smooth bore round barrel, 15cm, with front sight only, overall length 31cm. Stirrup ramrod, with button shaped head. All brass furniture and a single barrel band secured with a pin. Proof markings on the barrel showing date of 1844. Lock marked NP Ames, Springfield, Mass, at the rear end of the plate, USN 1844.

Fully stocked with a repair behind the lock plate.
